The Environment as the third teacher!

According to the Reggio Emilia approach, the environment plays a central role in making learning meaningful. In our preschool classrooms, the environment is flexible and responsive to the needs of both teachers and children, allowing them to create learning experiences together.

At JOL Kids Academy preschool, our classrooms are thoughtfully arranged to spark curiosity, encourage experimentation, and promote inquiry-based learning, empowering children to become confident problem-solvers and critical thinkers.

 

We utilize open-ended materials with Montessori-inspired wooden toys and classroom resources in our preschool to encourage hands-on learning, independent exploration, and sensory development. These materials, typically made from natural elements like wood and fabric, focus on simple design and open-ended play, allowing children to learn through manipulation and self-directed activity, in line with the Montessori educational philosophy.
